Plunges technology and business school was established in 1987. Since the beginning of the school establishment more than 6000 pupils finished our school.
Rietavas branch of Plunge Technology and Business School was established in 2016, 1 September
26 groups of students, which make up 376 students are currently studying at Plungės technology and business school and 76 students are studying in Rietavas branch in 6 groups. On the whole, 452 students are studying in both schools.
61 general and vocational subject teachers, work at the school.
Students of all specialties study according to the modular vocational training programs. These modular programs are approved: an accountant, an electrician, a car mechanic, a builder/plasterer, a hairdresser, a financial service provider, a computer hardware adjuster, an agricultural production business worker, A chef/cook, a confectioner, a waiter and bartender and a welder.
Besides the chosen vocational subjects, students also learn secondary education subjects: languages, mathematics, science, history, biology, and others.
In 2007 a secondary education curriculum was accredited and the school was given the right to have technological gymnasium department. Since then the school admits students to the first and second gymnasium forms. The main aim of the school implementing secondary education curriculum is to create an attractive image of the gymnasium department improving the quality of teaching, trying to individualize and differentiate as well as to assess the lesson activities, and to educate creativity , helping each student to achieve success.
Vocational training process consists: theory studies – 30%; practice studies – 70%; practice – 600 h. School-leavers can choose to take a final technology exam. Successfully graduated students gain secondary education certificates and the graduates gain diplomas confirming their vocational competences.
School also carries out adult continuous learning and re-qualification on the basis of (fifty-two) 31 job market vocational teaching curriculum. More than 500 adult learners get different trade qualifications.

Modular Vocational Training Program of Accountant
Qualification: an accountant
Requirements for education: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (P42041101); secondary education (P43041101, T43041102)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified accountant who would be able to independently manage asset documents and register in accounting, manage liability documents, form and account income and expense data.
Job specifics: Gained qualification allows a person to work in accounting departments and companies of accounting services.
Modular Vocational Training program of Electrician :
Qualification: an electrician
Requirements for education: secondary education, adult (18) (M44071304, T43071304)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified specialist who could perform general electronic and electrical engineering works, to install and operate electrical equipment, to perform electrical installation works.
Job specifics: Gained qualification allows to work in companies which assemble and operate equipment for electricity consumers; in networks of low and high voltage distribution and transmission.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Car Mechanic :
Qualification: a car mechanic
Requirements for education: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (M43071604), secondary education (M44071601, T43071605)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Job specifics: Gained qualification allows to examine engines and their parts, detect damages; to assemble, examine, test, fix, replace, and maintain engines and their parts of motor vehicles and motorcycles; to provide planned maintenance services.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Decorator (builder):
Qualification: a painter, a tiler,a plasterer
Requirements for education: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (P32073205), basic education (P32073213, T32073213)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Job specifics: Gained qualification of painter, tiler, and plasterer allows to work in construction companies or carry out individual activities.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Hairdresser:
Qualification: a hairdresser

Requirements for professional experience: none
Job specifics: Gained qualification allows to provide services of hairdresser individually or work in companies of beauty services.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Agricultural Production Business Worker:
Qualification: an agricultural production business worker
Requirements for education: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (M43081103), secondary education (M44081102, T43081103)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Job specifics: Gained qualification allows to grow various agricultural crops, take care of domestic animals, prepare various fodder; produce, store, and sell cattle-breeding and plant growing production; develop unconventional agricultural business.
ModularVocational Training Program of Cook.
Qualification: a cook/ chef
The program is designed for initial training program (110 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (90 learning credits)
Minimum education required to gain the qualification: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (P 42101303) secondary education (P 43101304T 43101304)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified employee who can independently prepare, design and serve meals, assessing the quality of meals and having ability to manage the documents.
Job specifics: Gained qualification of a chef will allow the individual to work as a chef in companies providing various types of catering services.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Confectioner
Qualification: confectioner
The program is designed for initial training program (90 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (70 learning credits)
Minimum education required to gain the qualification: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (P 42101301) secondary education (P 43101302,T 43101302)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified employee who would be able to independently produce confectionery products, select raw materials and prepare them for production, mix dough and prepare confectionery semi-finished products.
Job specifics: A qualified confectioner will be able to work in restaurants and other catering companies, confectionery workshops, rural tourism homesteads.
Modular Vocational training program of Waiter and Bartender
Qualification: A waiter and a bartender
The program is designed for initial training program (90 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (70 learning credits)
Minimum education required to gain the qualification: gained basic education and studying in secondary education program (P 42101302, P43101303) secondary education (T43101306, T43101307)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified employee who would be able to independently serve the visitors of catering companies, guests of banquets and receptions, prepare and serve drinks, cocktails and snacks.
Job specifics: Individuals with the qualifications of a waiter and a bartender can work in companies providing various types of catering services.
ModularVocational Training Program of Financial Service Provider.
Qualification: a financial service provider
The program is designed for initial training program (90 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (70 learning credits)

Program purpose: to prepare a qualified financial service provider who would be able to independently serve customers, perform financial transsactions, perform banking operations and sell credit, savings and insurance products.
Job specifics: a person who has gained the qualification of a financial service provider will be able to work in all institutions and accountants providing financial services.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Computer Hardware Adjuster
Qualification: a computer hardware adjuster
The program is designed for initial training program (90 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (70 learning credits)
Minimum education required to gain the qualification: gained basic education and studying the secondary education program (M43061103, M44061112)and the secondary education (T43061201)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified computer equipment adjuster capable of working in companies using information and communication technologies , as well as to provide computer adjustment and maintenance services. The curriculum of the program is based on practical training.
Job specifics: a qualified individual can work as a junior engineer, IT production assistant, a junior Network administrator and as a repair specialist. A person can work in both the private and public sectors.
Modular Vocational Training Program of Welder
Qualification: a welder
The program is designed for initial training program (110 learning credits) and continuing vocational training (90 learning credits)
Minimum education required to gain the qualification: gained basic education and studying the secondary education program (P42071501,P47071501) and the secondary education (T43071503)
Requirements for professional experience: none
Program purpose: to prepare a qualified welder who would be able to independently prepare for welding work, weld steel joints in various ways using various electrodes, cut metals by thermal cutting methods.
Job specifics: a qualified welder will be able to work in engineering and metal processing plants, perform welding work in construction and other sectors. Working conditions: you must be prepared to work indoors and outdoors in different heights with materials and tools that are harmful to the environment and human health.
